Just saw on the local news, heard it beforehand but if it’s big enough for the news to air it I want to warn my followers. If someone calls you and says that they owe you money due to a company closing, tell them you never paid them any money and hang up the phone. They are persistent! They get you to give them remote access to your computer so they can open a browser and direct you to a page. At that page they tell you to type in however much you are owed, say $300. So you type in 300, and before the prompt disappears there is an extra zero added, then they tell you that you just agreed to pay them $3,000. Don’t think you can outsmart them, just hang up and block the number they are calling from.

Just fixed some software issues and a hard drive issue on an Xbox One and returned it to a happy customer! Feels good to save people money and make them happy when they have their machines returned in working order! I'm sure her kiddos (and husband) will be happy to have it back!

Does the inside of your computer look like this? Cheap tip to keep your computer running: go to Office Depot, Best Buy, Walmart, or Target and get a can or 2 of canned air. Then take your computer outside and use the can of air standing upright spray out the computer from the top to the bottom using sweeping motions. This will extend the life of your computer and should be done at least every 6 months ESPECIALLY if you life near dirt roads or have animals that wonder around your house!

Its that time of the year! When people start shopping online for those early Christmas presents! (I know, its a bad word in July) Make sure when you're shopping that you see a little lock in the address bar, this ensures that the site you are visiting is a secure site and you have much less of a chance of having your financial data stolen!

Tip: If you're running Windows 7 or 8, you are still eligible for a free upgrade to Windows 10 through July 28th, 2016. If you're unsure if you want to upgrade, I urge you to check out demos of Windows 10 at a retail store or go to Microsoft's website and check out the videos they have! I upgraded a couple days after it came out and I haven't regretted it at all! It actually sped my computer up some!
