Public ice skating and freestyle skating sessions schedules are posted at ParkBoard.org/IcePark. Classes and contact sports such as ice hockey are suspended through May 31. Visitors to all Parks facilities must continue to follow CDC physical distancing and hand washing guidelines, including: Wash hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds, especially before eating and after coughing, sneezing, blowing your nose and using the restroom. Avoid touching your face. Keep a six-foot distance from others. Cover all coughs and sneezes. Avoid hand shakes, hugs and hi-fives. Jordan Valley Ice Park will be closed March 18-April 1 in accordance with the City of Springfield’s announcement that all gatherings of 10 or more are prohibited. CSDP Hockey Camp, hockey leagues, Learn to Skate and Open Skate are canceled through April 1. Outdoor parks and trails remain open, but lots of other indoor facilities and programs are impacted. Heads up: Trafficway is currently closed just west of Sherman/JQH Parkway. Access the Ice Park from Kimbrough/Benton Avenue to avoid delays at Feb. 21-22 Missouri State Ice Hockey games.
