Good morning. I think one of the goals of revival is to make us aware of how important our life is and how short it is. Remember what it says in James 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. So, if we know our life is so short, we need to make sure things are good between us and our God, because Hebrews 9:27 tells us, And as it is appointed unto men once to ...die, but after this the judgment: Yes we all will stand before the God of all creation at the judgment, and we are told in Hebrews 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. So, we need to wake up and get right with God while we still have time. Don’t let the devil’s worldwide plague scare you away from God. Our services at Hope Baptist today begin with Sunday school at 9:30 and church at 10:30. If you can’t be here in person, please try to get on line at YouTube and join us as we stream our services. Our Bible reading for today is 1 Kings 12-13. God bless. See more

Good morning. Yesterday we talked about the importance of obedience in relation to revival. One of the ways you can tell if revival has set in, is looking at our obedience to the Lord. D.L. Moody said, There will be no peace in any soul until it is willing to obey the voice of God. And, Oswald Chambers made this statement, Faith never knows where it is being led, but it loves and knows the One who is leading. God told His people in the book of Isaiah chapter 1:19-20, 19 ...If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: 20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it. God is still God, but is He really Lord in your life? Will you seek revival? Will you plan on being here and participating in what the Lord want to do? Our revival services will begin May 23 26. (Sunday through Wed.) Don’t forget Hope Outreach today at 10 a.m. Take time to pray for the needs of our church and folks, pray for revival, and reach out and contact someone and encourage them. Our Bible reading for today is 1 Kings 9-11. God bless. See more

Good morning. How bad do we want revival? You see, revival is connected to our love of God and obedience to His Word. What we’re saying is, our obedience to the Lord comes from our love for Him and our appreciation for the great price that was paid for us. Jesus makes it clear that He wants us to obey Him in Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? So, revival is a return to doing the things He said, in other words, obedience. 2 Corinth...ians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Then remember what the Bible tells us in 1 Peter 1:15-16 15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. Our Bible reading for today is 1 Kings 7- 8. God bless and keep praying for revival. See more

Good morning. We had such a good service last night at Hope. We appreciate all who attended, both in person and on line. We are all set up now to host revival services May 23-26. But real revival is not just holding services that we call revival, but rather a matter of the heart. Jesus gave us the heart of revival when He said in John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. You see, when we experience r...eal, personal, perpetual revival, our faith is revived, our love is stronger, our faces are more joyful, our enthusiasm is more contagious, and our individual ministries are empowered. Isn’t that what we want? So not only should we be praying for revival for our church and community, but also that each of us would yield ourselves to Him and ask for that personal revival in our own life and home. We need what we sing about in church in the old hymn, I Surrender All. All to Jesus I surrender, All to Him I freely give, I will ever love and trust Him, In His presence daily live. Amen! Our Bible reading for today is 1 Kings 4-6. God bless. See more
