This is a fine example of how our community came together after the tornado. The Center for Disaster Recovery will begin cataloging items related to the May 2011 Joplin Tornado. We hope you will support our efforts so that the knowledge gained will not be lost!

On the one year anniversary of the California Camp Fires, we reflect on our community's recovery. Several of the Joplin Recovery leaders have traveled to Paradise CA to support their recovery efforts---paying it forward, lest we forget all that came and supported us.

A year ago Hurricane Michael made landfall many towns were deeply devastated & are now putting their communities back together.Leaders of the Joplin Tornado Recovery have been there to support their efforts Joplin efforts are known as best practices and we are queried routinely. AND the Center will continue this work of outreach, support & knowledge development.
