Temperatures will be dropping below freezing again. Be sure to close all your crawl space vents. The wind and low temps are a quick recipe for frozen water lines. Well houses should be sealed and insulated, and if you normally need a heat lamp, be getting it turned on. And as always..... remove those hoses from the hydrants.

It's that time again! REMOVE your garden hoses from your hydrants. If you have lawn irrigation your Backflow needs to be winterized, as well as pool houses or any other water source that is open to the atmosphere and is not heated. If in doubt, call Jon’s Plumbing 417-755-3257 or leave a comment below.

Yesterday Jon had an accident while working and broke the heel bone in both of his feet (bilateral calcaneus fractures). We are working on getting an appointment to see an orthopedic surgeon, from there we should know what the treatment plan will be. He is currently limited to a wheelchair, with strict orders to not have any weight on his feet. Our customers are very important to us and we are working diligently to get assistance with issues in the interim. Thank you for yo...ur patience and understanding. The next couple months are going to be difficult. Please keep Jon in your thoughts and prayers. ~Allison Allison Renee King Jon Smith

13 months ago, I went to the license bureau in Springfield to get a Missouri drivers license. While there I struck up a conversation with a man I didn’t know, as he was waiting to get tags on his new work truck that he was very proud to have. We casually talked and shared stories about our venture into business ownership. He owned a business, Sams Heating and Air, and mine of course Plumbing. We exchanged business cards and went about our way. In less than a week this strang...er called me and had a referral for plumbing. Referrals between the both of us have continued throughout the last 13 months, that is until yesterday. We are in shock to learn today that his life was cowardly taken away. Thank you Samuel Biggs for all your help and your friendship. You will be missed by many! Rest In Peace my friend. See more

I’ve been asked many times what’s the best water heater. While there are several good heaters out there, Ruud/Rheem is what I put in my house.

Happy Birthday to our main man Jon Smith! He won’t be taking the day off to celebrate, as there are customers that need his help today. Tonight he will get to enjoy a good meal and German Chocolate cake, his favorite!
