We've seen temps rise and fall over the last few weeks and now it's almost the Vernal equinox, when the Sun is exactly above the Equator and day and night are of equal length! It is for this reason that we are sending you a heads up that we will not be open this spring for plant sales. We will, however, be working diligently on our fall lineup of activities and grounds to present our sunflower fields, garden mum crop, apple orchard, u-pick vegetable patch, pumpkin fields and... of course the super fun family play yard. You can expect some upgrades to all of those attractions as well as the finished greenhouse project. We know that you will love the new additions for which you can see updates here. We may be closed for spring sales, but we are excited about the new Park Place Farmers' Market beginning in the Leawood/South KC community! The Saturday market will be located on 116th Place (the street adjacent to Barkley Square) starting every Saturday from May 1 until October 16, 2021 from 7:30am-12pm. ... We encourage our customers to continue to shop local this season! If you're a farmer/maker, they are still accepting applications for full, half, and daily season stalls. Come out today and tomorrow for the last two days of farm fun! Because of the recent frosts, some of our fields may be closed. However, the entire playground, animal corral, kitchen, and wagon rides will be running. To thank you for your support for our farm this season, anyone who wears a costume today or tomorrow will receive a FREE pumpkin donut*!! *Available to anyone with paid admission & no reservations required today & tomorrow!

It’s been drizzling since 10:30 AM and it’s beginning to really feel like rain. Too many features must be closed when it’s raining so we will close the U pick farm at 3 PM today. All ticket holders have been sent a voucher for another day. Check back tomorrow; there’s some funky weather in the forecast also.

HOW BOUT THEM CHIEFS? . . . Unfortunately the weather isn’t this sunny and warm today, but we are still open! ... We have a special Scavenger Hunt event planned for this SATURDAY (10/24) & SUNDAY (10/25) Gather your family members and enter this event, which gives you a chance for some late October, family friendly, competitive outdoor fun. It's one more chance to use our farm as your backyard, but it's not! Yay for that. right? Tickets & info for the Scavenger Hunt can be found on our Online Admission Tickets tab on our website as an add on to any ticket reservation for this weekend. Happy Hunting!

U-Pick apples are BACK tomorrow! We will be picking Fuji’s. Apple bags will be available for purchase at the admission gate!

NEW! POWER PICKER DAYS! . . .... . WEDNESDAYS 10A - 12P Are you an adult that just wants to come pick veggies? Power Picker days are for you! No admission charged. Nobody under the age of 13, as playgrounds will not be open. Vegetable crates are $15. Tomorrow we will be picking: tomatoes, peppers (bell, gypsy, & jalapeño), green beans, & beets. No wagon ride, just a short walk to the vegetable gardens. See you tomorrow, 10/21, and 10/28!
