This means patients can be consulted via phone call with Dr. Karasek for anything that he can diagnose from a picture, such as: - Any skin conditions (rashes, diaper rashes, ingrown nails, etc.) - Pink eye - Head lice... - Ear discharge - Oral thrush If your child is experiencing something not listed, please feel free to contact our office regarding whether it can be diagnosed with a telemedicine appointment. To Our Valued Patients and Families: The recent coronavirus (COVID-19) developments have been a whirlwind for our community and our nation. Many of you are feeling the direct impact with changes at home, school, and work. During these unsettling times, we wish to offer any support we can. Following CDC recommendations, Dr. Karasek and his staff are taking every precaution to keep patients and their family safe while visiting our clinic. Safety measures we are taking include:... Patients are taken directly to a disinfected exam room without waiting to check in, and are escorted out the back door when the appointment is finished, so there is no contact with other patients; Staff are wearing personal protective equipment at all times; Medical-grade air purifiers are in every room; Exam rooms, equipment, and restrooms are disinfected before and after each patient; entire clinic (including carpets) are thoroughly disinfected twice daily. To further protect our patients, we ask that each patient is accompanied by only one caregiver. Walk-in (unscheduled) patients are not being accepted; please call first, even if it’s from your parked car. We will continue to schedule well-checks as always, because immunizations and monitoring childhood development are no less important now.
