The Missouri Supreme Court has extended its order regarding in person hearings to May 15. The court remains open to filings, remote hearings and certain in person hearings that are excepted from the order. For the most part our judges are conducting hearings by phone and video. ... We’re open for business, but working remotely. The courts are closed off for in person hearings with limited exceptions. However, we can intake cases and conduct meetings via phone call, FaceTime or Skype. I always prefer working face to face with clients, prosecutors, other attorneys and judges, but my office is dedicated to protecting ourselves and the public. The Supreme Court was a great experience today. I argued a very important issue and I have high hopes for a positive result. My family came along and the court seemed happy to see the children with me. The staff was extremely helpful and Judge Breckinridge’s clerk walked all over the halls with our children telling them great historical stories. Today was a great day to be an attorney.
