I wood grained some steel doors today. Painting steel doors or walls to look like real wood is a dying art. Hardly anyone calls me for this anymore. But the results can be really nice. I apologize for my photography skills, but in real life it looks a lot better. The customers were really happy.

Concerning painting interiors: The silvery gray colors are still extremely popular. They go with everything and that is the main reason people are doing that. The accent wall is still popular because you have a bold powerful color, and if you get tired of it, it is only one wall to repaint. I would love to see people start doing an accent wall that is wallpaper. There are some beautiful wallpapers out there and they cannot be done with paint. There are metallics, textur...es, complex patterns, etc. Right now, I remove wallpaper 3-4 times for every time someone wants me to hang it. And, I always tell people that if you have white doors and trim that the best way to get real bang for the buck with a painter is to have the painter spend one day touching up, or repainting the trim and doors in your home. Everyone's trim and doors get beat up and marked over time. Getting that repainted will really make your house look better in just one day. See more

Hello everyone. I have been a painting contractor for over 30 years. I have painted almost everything except water towers, and airplanes. New construction homes, from starter homes up to multi-million dollar homes. Repainted many homes inside and out, all around the St.Louis area.... New construction projects from gas station/convenience stores, to very large churches. I especially like historic buildings and I have done many over the years. I am willing to travel to do interesting projects. I have an artistic nature and I can help with colors and remodeling, etc.

I Finished another job today on a very important historical building in my county. A 200-year-old building! When you go inside it is like stepping back in time to Colonial America. And by the way, I made this sign from scratch.
