Imagine a space where your girl could come and be accepted for being her amazing selfie! A spot she could feel supported in her struggles and celebrated in her strengths. When she shows up she knows there will be lots of laughter and fun on the agenda. And the weight of her world she carries with her will be a little lighter as she leaves. If this sounds like a place for your girl we would love to connect with her at our upcoming group! This group is limited so we can help ...everyone to feel comfortable and safe. Email me at [email protected] or text/call at 816-835-3553 for questions/more information. Dates/times and more info on flyer.

There is a safe space for all your unsaid stories. A place that greets you with acceptance of where you have been and hope for what lies ahead. The path to healing is there for you and the courage to connect is within you. Sending you love and peace wherever you are in your journey.

Our first group SOLD OUT so we ADDED an ADDITIONAL NIGHT! MONDAYS 6:00 pm-7:30 pm June 1, 8, 15, 29, July 6 August 17th. Contact us here or on numbers listed on flyer. The one message I have heard over and over from kiddos the past few weeks; they are LONGING for CONNECTION! Now more than ever they need a place to belong, where they feel seen and valued by their peers. Michele and I stand in amazement every time at the MAGIC that unfolds in our girls groups. We attri...bute so much of the magic to your girls willingness throughout the process to share, grow, and celebrate her amazing SELFIE! We know this is still a time of uncertainty and unknowns as we begin stepping back into a world that looks a lot different than it did a couple of months ago. We want to provide a safe space to come together, ground ourselves to the great outdoors while we soak up the beautiful sun. We will laugh, learn, play, and process our feelings together. We are confident your girl will leave each group feeling a little lighter and a lot more ready to face the days ahead. Contact us with a message here or via text/phone on the numbers listed below for more info and registration. #loveyourselfie #builtforconnection See more

Last year I thought us mamas (& dads) might lose our minds when we had 9 snow days and added a week to the end of the school year! Remember that? Lots of funny memes and a year between... somehow that feels like a lifetime ago. Crazy to look back on those 9 days now and think it was a big deal. Our kiddos haven’t been to school for 40 days! I still roll quickly between different feelings; how unreal it all seems, acceptance of where we are and hope for what’s to come. I a...m seeing clients virtually right now which has opened up a whole new fantastic world of connecting to others. The kiddos I meet with ALL have a common message, they do miss being with people (friends, school, etc.) but more than that they LOVE this extra time with their families; dinners at the table, game nights, movie nights, or reading more. New space to imagine and a freedom from the hustle and bustle of a world we created. I encourage all of us to sit with our people and ask them to tell, write, draw, or interpretive dance , (whatever speaks to your hearts ) the parts of this time that they want to carry into the days after. I hold hope there are better days to come and that we each take the best parts of this time with us. https://youtu.be/fnHlRQZZbbY

In the moments I feel unsure and uncertain about this world around us it brings me great comfort to think about all the courage we are each building along side one another. We are all in this together reaching outside our comfort zones and strengthening the most important part of ourselves.

We all have the power to create a ripple of kindness throughout our communities. We have an opportunity now to connect in new ways and stand together... virtually or with lots of distance that is. We are each being challenged and through that we can strengthen so many wonderful characteristics within ourselves; compassion, giving, creativity, gratitude and resiliency. What pushes our limits can always stretch us into better versions of ourselves. https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk//children-sing-eld

In these times of uncertainty and unknowns when so many things reach beyond us. We do have choices of how we greet the road in front of us. I fully give myself permission to grieve this changing world around us. Within grief is sadness, denial, and anger; all absolutely normal to feel given our circumstances. There is no judgement in your permission to be fully human with real emotion. I have learned the practice that helps me to heal and shift most is one of GRATITUDE! Se...t your sights on every thing there is to appreciate and all the good that can grow from where we are. I am personally going to reach out (virtually of course) to a different person each day to express all the reasons I am grateful for them. We are all being asked to distance ourselves and yet in that I fully believe there lives a place of our greatest connection. #calmnessingratitude During this time if you could use a positive word, a little laugh, some mindfulness practices, or just a place to let out some feeling, I got you.

Of course it’s hard not to question your kiddos because you want to know every fabulous thing about them & their day! I see you and your thirst to CONNECT with them. AND you can still learn so much by noticing them and being curious about life from their perspective. I often say in session I notice you....(fill in the blank) look worried, proud, feel silly, etc and then I pause. No more fillers or questions, I just wait. Within seconds they are usually saying yes I am worried because... Or they might even correct me and say, I’m not worried, I am... Being curious without the questions is an amazing way to build connection & it will fill both your souls!

Do you ever watch feel good stories on social media? Say it’s Ellen doing the kindest and most giving act towards someone she heard about that was struggling. A person that with all their struggles still invests so much into others. So Ellen surprises them in a big way! And then, you read the comments... I really can’t stand a Ellen That color doesn’t look good on her Her eyelash curls weird...I added that one for effect, cause it’s all ridiculous! ... It doesn’t matter how much you pour into others, work hard, and do ALL the things; there are people out there who will judge it, criticize it, gossip about it and twist it all up into some ugly version of the most beautiful acts. Be kind, nurture your own heart, invest in making this world a better place and let the noise of the naysayers grow silent. #yourlifeisyours
