Happy New Year my friends! 2020 was an awesome year for me but it also made me sit down...literally! 2020 also brought me closer to my circle of friends, family and new family. Yes, new family. I’ve been researching my family heritage and found relatives through DNA matches in the Detroit area. As it turns out, my great grandmother had 16 children and her oldest daughter’s family resides in the Detroit area and I was so fortunate to find them and connected with some of the...m. This meant the world to me. However, while I gained these relationships, there were also way too many losses. My heart and prayers go out to my family and friends whom experienced them. I too experienced it. May God comfort all. As we enter into this new year, 2021, I am encouraged to set new goal, have a new outlook, challenge myself when I feeling the pain, and push myself through discomfort.
