Jax and Gabe's Pizzeria

The real owners wanted to give everyone a final farewell!!!! Happy New Year, everyone!!!!

There are truly wonderful, caring, beautiful people in this world. ..... on my final day of business .... I walk out to my car and I find ..... wrapped in a plastic bag (to protect it from the rain), this note tucked under my wiper!! Whoever left this ..... you are AMAZING. I’ll pay this forward every chance I get!!! You made a very hard night .... end with joy in my heart!!!! I hope you know how very special you are and this note will stay in my heart and mind forever!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you . You are truly amazing!!! God bless!!!

So ..... as I was mopping tonight......LOL!!! I was thinking of my boys from high school......(Many of my friends and customers told me to post some more stories...... so I'm happy to oblige......LOL) This story is about everyone in the picture (except for Travis.... The one who looks like Anthony Michael Hall looks today..... the one on the far left......LOL). Well..... About the only thing we learned in Humanities Class was about the "Flying Buttress" (because punk... kids (like us) thought the word was funny!) ...... the architectural use of triangles in buildings...... So we decided to name our bowling league....... The Fly Buttress's Plus 2 (Ryan (3rd from the left), Bob (4th from the left) ..... and, of course, me.... (cowboys shirt!! lol) ..... plus Dave and Rhonda..... (can't find pics of them) ..... Our league was on Sunday....... But we would "practice" on Saturday night.... After MANY beverages???!!! This is were we learned how the bowling lanes were set up........ Before the arrows is maple...... after the arrows is ...... PINE........ So, being Juniors in high school, we would pretend that the ball would get stuck on our thumb to so see how far we could "arc" the ball without getting into trouble........ but that only lasted for for so long.....got a little boring....... So after one of my friends launched one that almost hit the ceiling ..... I had to better it!!!!! So I launched one "overhand" ...... Like I was shooting a million dollar shot from half court........ That 16 lb ball went damn near to the pins before it bounced!!!!! LOL ......... So before we got kicked out for the night (...... and very awkward the next day at league......) We were lectured about how maple is hard, but pine will dent "So we had to make sure we never threw the ball beyond the arrows" ........ So if you are ever bowling..... and you hear someone say "GO FOR PINE" ....... You know what to look for........ That BEAUTIFUL shot that soars thru the air...... That's because of my friends and I ......... because we yelled (and did it) every Saturday night!!!!!!! ........ And the team took 3rd at state...... We have the trophies to prove it!!!!!! Good times ..... I'm positive my boys are laughing just as hard as me as I'm typing this!!!!! We will do it again soon,guys!!!!! LOL .......... Have a great day..... more stories to come!!!!!! ..... so the finale to the commercial was going to be my brother, Mark .... you’ll have to watch to see what he was betting!!! sure wish we could have made this happen!! Be sure to check out the early post to understand the premise of the commercial!!! Thanks again to my brother and Shawn (and his family) ....... would have been a beauty if all the footage I requested would have been completed...... there was some funny stuff in there!!! ..... hopefully I made you smile or laugh ...... because .... to me .... there’s no greater reward in life than making someone laugh .....take care of yourselves... and each other and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

So ..... earlier on the year ..... I had a fantastic idea for a new commercial ..... the concept was going to be Me explaining that I’ve overheard people saying that they knew a better pizzeria than Jax and Gabe’s..... with my response being ...... What do you wanna’ bet????? The commercial never came to fruition, because everyone didn’t come thru with their assigned footage ..... (including my sister, Gina!!!!) ..... but I wanted to share my 2 favorites that make me la...ugh EVERY TIME I WATCH THEM!!!! My friend Shawn was willing to bet his beautiful hair on it ...... as seen in the video ..... he lost!!!! too funny .... (thank you to Shawn and Monica ..... and their son Jax (who edited that footage!!) .... definitely Super Bowl worthy!!!! Jax and Gabe’s will be closed December 24th, 25th and 26th ..... to celebrate Christmas with family, friends and loved ones ..... We will be open Friday (December 27th) and Saturday (until my inventory runs out!!!!) .... and that will be our last day ..... thank you so very much for all of you who came out to wish us luck in the future!!! You will all be missed and I can’t thank you enough for 7 years of friendship and loyalty!!! You are all permanently embedded in my heart ... . Happy holidays!! And I’ll see you soon!!!
