You see that closed sign right there? In 5 days that sign is going to get to flip to OPEN for the first time in over a month and I can guarantee you I will cry while doing it. I know we have been a little quiet on social media during this quarantine, but having to stay away from my brides has been an incredibly hard and heartbreaking challenge for me. In the 6 years I have ran my business the idea of not being in my store for more than 2 days made me sweat. BUT. We got throu...gh it. Corona isn’t gone, and we plan on taking the necessary precautions to keep our staff and brides safe - because love isn’t cancelled. We hope that after all of the scariness from the past few months that our brides have gotten to use that time to just LOVE. Love their fiancés, love their families and love the wedding planning/dreaming process. As we navigate through this crazy time we want to do our part, which means virtually handling the business as much as possible while still being available for our brides! MEET THE OWNER Rachel Mifflin is a Warrensburg, MO local and loves everything about the sleepy, little town. After graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Fashion Merchandising & Marketing, Rachel dreamed of owning her own business in the town she grew up in. After slowly collecting vintage wedding gowns as a hobby, Rachel eventually took the huge leap of faith to open her own store at the age of 24. Over 5 years later I&L has become bigger and better than Rachel could hav...e ever imagined. In addition to helping over 1,000 brides find their dream dress, Rachel has gotten married, became the mother to an incredible little girl named Lorelei, and purchased and renovated a historic building for the new home of Ivory & Lace. Rachel strives to find truly unique designer and vintage gowns for the shop. With a professional seamstress as a mother, Rachel has learned the ins and outs of wedding gown quality and how to find the most flattering fit for every body type. Ivory & Lace is a part of me. I have put my heart into every aspect of this business. I get SO excited about each and every new bride, and I hope they love their experience here as much as I love them! -Rachel

Since becoming a mother, my daughter Lorelei has influenced my way of thinking, my style and basically everything about my life. She is beautiful, wild, independent and completely one of kind. What better inspiration for a bridal line can you find? When I first opened my store we had a lot of brides interested in our vintage collect...ion. With our 5 year anniversary, I wanted to go back to my roots, but with a "Lorelei" look on things. The Lorelei Collection of gowns are all handmade by our seamstress (Georgia Stuart-Simmons), created from vintage gowns and vintage materials. Each one is 100% unique with a wildly vintage aesthetic.
