So...this is another reminder to secure your Facebook and Instagram accounts. I got the following notice this morning: We Noticed a New Login, revjeffw We noticed a login from a device you don't usually use.... Linux Unknown browser Dusun Chinchin, Malaysia January 7 at 2:11 AM (PDT) Obviously it was an attempt to access and hijack the account. Stay vigilant and be sure to use strong passwords. Happy computing!!

Hey parents...a bit of helpful advice for you! Tip of the day- if you bought a brand new Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, or Playstation 4 for your kids for Christmas, go ahead and open that bad boy up, hook it up to WiFi after they are in bed, and download all the necessary (and mandatory) updates. Preload digital games you purchased. Make sure it’s all up to date and then box it back up. Why?... Because if you wait until Christmas Day, servers are known (proven) to crash and slow down due to the amount of new system activations, meaning that highly anticipated system is now useless until those updates are ready. Just a hint to make your Christmas the best ever! You’ll thank me later. Feel free to share this with other parents on your timeline if you think it will help!

IoT - Internet of Things. It is a fancy phrase that means all your connected devices. They're cool. They're convenient. They can also be dangerous. I'm not saying they will turn on you, but I am saying they can make it easier for hackers to gain access to your life. There's nothing wrong with having connected devices...just make sure you secure them. Change the default password on ALL of them. Oh...and while you are at it change your wireless router default password too. Be safe as you connect all your devices this holiday season. As always call us if you have questions or if you need help.
