Imperial Crown Pet Cemetery

For those of you who knew May and Dudley Titus, we just received word that May passed away in March. They were both associated with the cemetery for years and have numerous kitties buried here. May had no family other than one living cousin. We will fondly remember both and miss their presence....

This message is to notify all our members that Rose Darnell will be retiring as of the first of the year. Rose has been the glue that has held the cemetery together for the last 27 years. We would like to thank her for her outstanding commitment, dedication, and hard work. She has been there to help hundreds of families in their time of loss... to comfort, and give a shoulder to cry on. She has sacrificed so much of her own time to be there for others. It just won't be the same without her. Thank you, Rose, for your love of pets and the care and concern that you have shown towards the cemetery all these years. We will definitely miss your services. On a brighter note however, you will be getting lots of puzzles for Christmas to keep you busy ....

Don't forget our general meeting at the Florissant Valley Library tomorrow, October 19, from 1-3 p.m. We will be accepting nominations for next year...

For those of you who know Aletta Trotter...just wanted to let you know that she is in the hospital. She fell last Thursday, a week ago, and had to have surgery on her hip. She is waiting for a place to go for rehabilitation. Aletta and her son are long time members of the pet cemetery and is always there for clean-up days and decorating day in December. We wish her a speedy recovery. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers....

DON'T FORGET... Our next general meeting is planned for Saturday, May 25, 1 p.m. at the Florissant Valley Branch of the County Library.

If anyone has a computer monitor that they would like to donate, we would appreciate it. Ours is going from pink to blue to green and back to white. Office number is 314-921-1558. Thanks in advance...

Our clean-up day this year is scheduled for April 20, starting at 10 a.m. Please bring gloves and clippers. We have some rakes and clippers, but probably not enough for everyone. Rose will publish a list of chores that need to be done in the next newsletter for those of you who may not be able to attend. The cemetery is open 24/7, so clean-up can be done at your convenience. The cemetery belongs to all the members, so let's all do our share to make it a crown jewel of Florissant!!! Our pets will thank us....
