Due to the ever-increasing threat of the COVID-19 virus, ILCSEMO is taking precautions to keep staff, consumers and the public safe. Please know at ILCSEMO, caring for the health and well being of our consumers and our workers will always be our paramount concern. Starting 3/19/2020, ILCSEMO office will be closed to the public until further notice. This is an unprecedented and challenging time. If you receive services from ILCSEMO, we are here for you. We are still coming i...nto the office and /or working out in your homes to provide your care. Our schedules may vary as we shift staff members to areas of need. If you call and do not get the person you are calling for, please leave a message and a staff member will contact you back. We are all in this together and we WILL get through this crisis. Please remember together we can make a difference. Show kindness to those working hard to provide the services we all need. Check on your neighbors, share at the stores and show grace to those who are trying to do the best they can in these uncharted waters. Personal Care Services: If you are receiving In-Home Services, Nursing, HCY, or Private Pay- ILCSEMO nurses and attendants will continue to provide your in-home services. Our personal care staff are taking the virus very seriously and they are taking safety measures. They will not come into your home if they are running a temperature, been exposed to someone with the virus or flu, or they have flu-like symptoms. Likewise, please call and cancel your home visits if you are sick or running a temp. We need you to be an active participant in protecting yourself and our staff. Staff will make weekly phone contact with you to assess your needs. CDS (Consumer Directed Services): It is up to you whether your attendant will continue to come into your home to provide your care. As the employer, you have the ability to make changes to your daily schedule so please communicate with your attendant regarding your situation. Staff will make weekly phone contact with you to assess your needs. Independent Living Services: Our ILS staff will be in the office and able to discuss with you via phone: Advocacy, Independent Living Skills, Information and Referral, Peer Support and Transition services. If you are concerned about how you will handle a shortage of food, medicine and supplies for your stay at home, our staff can share resources that are being created by agencies to address those needs. We will be sharing lots of information we receive on our center Facebook page- Independent Living Center of SEMO. Information is changing day to day. We will be working to stay on top of all requirements and doing our part to keep you informed. Please remember, when directed by the leadership of the programs we administer, we will comply to do our part to be active in protecting our staff, consumers and the public. Thank you
