Yesterday, Flatland, the digital platform of Kansas City PBS and "a destination for those who share boundless curiosity," shared an example of their upcoming new show, KC Performs, a new program designed to help close the gap between audiences and artists during the COVID-19 pandemic. And we're SO PROUD of Orin Alan Laursen who was chosen to be FIRST and represent this wonderful new show!! In this installment, Orin, student of violinist Ben Sayevich at @Park University, knocks it out of the park with amazing Lolita Lisovskaya-Sayevich on piano! The entire special will air November 12th. https://www.youtube.com/watch #ParkProud #parkicm #classicalmusic #PUBLICTELEVISION

Two months ago, @ICM_Park was contacted by Kansas City PBS to participate in a series of shows focusing on performances from Kansas City performing arts organizations. Their goal, to showcase the performing arts groups during this time of dark theaters and bring performances to their audiences which, happily, are our audiences, too. The recordings were completed last week at Park U and will air on four occasions in November and January . . . the first being November 12th. Fl...atland, the digital magazine of Kansas City’s PBS, has chosen to release one performance from next week's episode. They decided on the solo of one of Park ICM’s artists . . . Orin Alan Laursen. It will be released tomorrow at 11 am at https://www.flatlandkc.org. We will also post it on ICM.Park.Edu and our social channels as soon as it’s available. We couldn’t be more proud of you, Orin! And a BIG SHOUT OUT to the amazing talents of Cole Blaise, KC PBS Creative Director and camera operator extraordinaire for the incredible one-shot photography! #ParkProud #ParkICM #ClassicalMusic #PUBLICTELEVISION

During the fall of 2019, members of Park University’s International Center for Music's Patrons Society traveled to New York City to witness ICM Artist-in-Residence, Behzod Abduraimov, in concert with the Munich Philharmonic, Valery Gergiev conducting, at Carnegie Hall. What a trip it was and, oh, how we miss all of you!! For more information on the ICM Patrons Society, visit https://icm.park.edu/additional-info//icm-patrons-society/

The Chanel NEXUS HALL has been honoring the legacy of Gabriel Chanel since 2004 when the Chanel Ginza Building was opened in Toykyo, Japan. A lover and support of the arts, Chanel’s spirit inspired the Chanel Pygmalion Days that offers young artists the opportunity to perform in the beautiful Nexus Hall. Each Year, five talented young artists from around the world are selected to hold solo concerts in the Chanel Pygmalion Days concert series. @ICM_Park's own Kyoshiro Hirama was selected as a 2020 Pygmalion Days artist and has completed his first concert. You can view the performance through October 22, (Midnight Japan) or enjoy an in-depth interview with Hirama published by the Pygmalion Days festival.
