We’re excited about our newly designed The Merc Co+op: KCK Grocery Store downtown grocery store in Kansas City, Kansas that serves to enhance the surrounding neighborhoods and support the thousands of employees working in the downtown area. Moreover it provides food options to an area that was considered a previous food desert. As part of the Green Infrastructure the site has three stormwater cisterns to capture and recycle rain waiter, permeable pavers to help conserve stormwater runoff, and utilizes a community garden planting area. Thanks to the vision and funding by the UG Government, this catalyst block on the Kansas City, Kansas Downtown Masterplan is one of the lead projects towards a vibrant downtown.

The opportunity and freedom we have in this country to vote is something we highly value. We used our voice to encourage people to vote by collaborating with the @kempermuseum and their Creative Action Initiative (#CreativeActionKC) to design a Civic Walkway Art with local artists. The project was a great opportunity to collaborate with the community to say Go Vote! A beautiful day to go see the African species of animals at the @kansascityzoo. These photos, however, are a part of the zoo that’s hidden from the public, the African Plains holding facility. . The building and it’s surrounding landscaping and enclosures needed to generate minimal disturbance to the densely wooded site, and establish operational workflow, a safe environment for the animals, and security for both the animals and their keepers. Though the facility virtually di...sappears into the landscape from public view, once revealed, it makes a bold and enduring statement. . As the COVID-19 virus brings new challenges that we have not experienced in the 31 year history of IAA, the safety of our team, their families, our clients, and our community as a whole is very important to us. In cooperation with the guidance of municipalities and the federal government to protect the population by encouraging no-contact services, beginning Tuesday, March 17, 2020, we are working remotely for the next two weeks. Our primary means of communication will be t...hrough email. We will not be attending in person meetings, but will attend through Zoom/on-line participation or phone conferences.
