Weekly Plant Facts #16 - Confetti Arrowhead or (Syngonium podophyllum hybrid) LIGHT Although these plants are extremely low light tolerant, they will grow faster and maintain their vibrant coloring and markings if grown in medium to bright indirect light. Direct sun will scorch their leaves.... WATER Allow these indoor plants to dry out partially between watering. If left dry for too long the lower leaves will dry up and turn brown. If this happens, soak the soil and let the plant rehydrate. TEMPERATURE Arrowhead Vines will grow in most household temperatures ranging from 60-80 degrees Fahrenheit. They do not like the temps to drop below 50. Keep them away from drafts and doorways during the winter months. FEEDING Arrowhead vines should be fertilized during the growing season with strength complete liquid fert once a month. Or use a slow release fertilizer or top dress with worm castings or compost in early spring. Pro Tips -Try letting these indoor vines grow long and display them as a hanging plant as it matures. -If you like a compact full plant, then prune the foliage back to maintain its form. -Propagate the cuttings in water as these indoor vines grow roots very quickly.

Weekly Plant Facts #15 -Manjula Pothos or (Epipremnum 'manjula') LIGHT The Manjula Pothos grows best in medium to bright light, not direct. Too much sun can scorch her beautiful white leaves and too little can cause the variegation to disappear.... WATER Keep the soil moist at all times, but never soaking wet! Allow the top of the soil to dry out slightly before watering. FEEDING Apply liquid fertiliser once every two weeks in the spring and summer to promote growth. HERE IS MINE

Weekly Plant Facts #14 -Marble Peperomia (Peperomia obtusifolia) LIGHT This plant prefers bright light but avoid any direct sun. It can tolerate shadier positions but may start to lose its variegation. A south or west facing window is ideal.... WATER Allow the soil to dry out slightly on top before watering. Avoid overwatering, the plant's fleshy leaves are able to store water and is better adapted to survive a slight drought than deluge. Use room-temperature water to water. PROPAGATION The process is very similar to that of rooting pothos cuttings in water. You simply cut off a stalk (not just a leaf) and pop it in a cup of water. Mine began developing tiny white, almost-translucent roots after about 6 weeks. Here is mine!
