Holcomb R-III Education Foundation

The Foundation was able to fund a grant for Mrs. Stephanie Austin Wallace’s Kindergarten classroom. She purchased a document camera so that her students can see whatever she wants to display and it’s portable so it can be used virtually too! This is another project we were able to fund because of the generosity and support of the Holcomb Education Foundation from our surrounding community!!

We know that we are constantly asking for your dollars. Here's a little peak at what your generosity is doing... Mrs. Kim Short teaches the 7th-9th grade special education classes. Earlier this year she submitted a grant request to the Foundation for a magnetic dry erase board so that she could not only write and erase quickly, but also hang anchor charts as reference materials while teaching lessons. She also requested a horseshoe shaped table to allow her to get closer to... the students (pre-COVID, of course) for better engagement and to help the students remained focused. Finally, she requested "Wobble Chairs". In her own words she said, "The new wobble chairs will allow students with ADD/ADHD, Autism, or other gross motor and sensory needs to sit and move at the same time, without interruption to other students." What a great idea! We were able to supply her will all of these items because of YOU. With all of the other wonderful charities in this world, we cannot thank you enough for your continued support. Keep an eye out for more updates as we receive them.
