Hams Prairie International Speedway 18.11.2020

This weeks spot light goes to Seth Wheeler #99 in the open class. Seth got in to kart racing 2 years ago after coming to a Friday night event at HPIS and seen just how much fun it was.It wasn't long after he had a kart. Seth's best finish is a 3rd place on January 1st of this year in the Ho Ho 100 crown jewel event. Last weekend Seth lost a motor in his heat race, he didn't let it ruin his day tho, he jumped in and helped others out in the pits with a big smile on his face. Seth has designed most of the metal art tropheys for the track. His most famous ones have been the Big Buck Bash and the Ho Ho 100 tropheys. Seth we thank you for racing at The Fastest Little Track in Downtown Ham's Prairie Mo.

Well Race Fans how about that 50 lap box stock feature today?! For this special event the race format was 25 laps the normal way then the last 25 laps was backwards. Cole Graves won the first 25 lap segment. Then leading the 1st 15 laps until the hard charging Tyler Hager out of La Plattea Mo took the lead from Graves and was pulling away. With a late race caution with 5 to go it gives Graves another shot at Hager. After the restart Grave's is moving around trying to figure ...out the line to get by Hager. With the white flag in the air waving Grave's is glued to the rear bumper heading in to the final corner right in the middle of the corner Grave's gets his nose under Hager there side by side Door handle to Door Handle for the Lead its a drag race to the finish with The Ice Man Cole Grave's picking up the WIN. Where else Race fans can you see this kinda action?! That's rite only at The Fastest Little Track in Downtown Ham's Prairie Mo. Congratulations to The Ice Man Cole Graves HPIS very own Scott Bloomquist! See more

Some HPIS track history this evening.. The track was built in 1997. The track was originally designed for the track owners sister Jennifer Salmons to race on. The last time Jennifer raced on the track was early 2000. Jennifer will make her return tomorrow to race in the Powder Puff Race after 20 years. But this time she will have her own Pit crew and cheering section with her Daughters Averie, Emery and Harrison.

We have had a lot of calls and texts about Tommorrow's event from racers that has not been her before. So we would like everyone to keep this in mind when parking in the pits by keeping close to one another and canopies behind your trailers. NO single cars or trucks in pit area if you are going to the pit area with no kart park in general admission parking. Management thanks you.
