Please be advised: While the park remains open to the public, we discourage use today due to the extreme congestion of folks getting vaccines. We have other gre...at parks to use. If you do wish to use the 3 miles of asphalt walking trail, we ask you to park at the Howard Hils Athletic Complex so as to avoid the congestion in Rothwell Park Road. However, the City has many other great trails throughout town so today is a great day to explore these opportunities. See more

*Your Tax Dollars At Work* The infield and outfield work at the Fox Park field is nearly done with the infield dirt and laser grading complete and the outfield ...brought up as much as 6 feet in some places. We have a little finish work to be done and will soon have it seeded. When the grass takes hold, it will be a beautiful field, providing yet another renovation at Fox Park. Investment in neighborhood parks was a key promise made during the last sales tax renewal. See more

*Your tax dollars at work!* We have major renovations going on at Fox Park and Rothwell Park on the four practice field! We are very excited about these improvements!

It has started! In 2018, this was to be the 4th year in the renovation rotation with the fields at the Howard Hils Athletic Complex being rotated the prior thre...e years. However, supply chain issues arose in 2018 following bid approvals. We worked last spring to build room back into the current budget year for renovating the Rothwell Park and Fox Park infields! Dirt is being hauled in this week and over the following 2-3 weeks, the field at Fox as well as Groeber Field, Patrick, and Meinert Field will all be updated with a sand/clay mix, laser grading, skimming the crown around the edge of the infield, and bringing in topsoil and seed. Much like the renovations at the complex 2015-2017, this will be a big and positive change, improving everything from play to drainage to maintenance! We are beyond excited to see this coming to fruition!
