09/10/2020 We have conducted our 4th testing at Century Pines of residents and employees. We experienced a significant reduction in the positive cases. This is great news and gives us hope that the trend will continue. The most recent test results as of today indicate two new residents that are positive. These residents are not showing symptoms. There is one employee who tested positive.... All other residents and employees that previously tested positive have now tested negative. There are no other positive residents or employees at Century Pines other than the current 2 positive residents and 1 positive employee. There are no known cases at the Hopedale Cottage or the Oaks Cottage. Our employees have been incredible in their efforts. It has been incredibly stressful due to the shortage of employees and the need to work extra shifts. The residents have also demonstrated increased cooperation after realizing that COVID19 IS REAL. They have experienced it firsthand with fellow residents testing positive and a few having been sent to the hospital. The residents of Christian, Greene, and Taney counties need to continue to be vigilant in their efforts against COVID. The positive cases in the communities that we live are continuing to increase. Therefore, please continue to be vigilant in your efforts to stop the spread of the virus. I want to thank you for your support, understanding and prayers for all our residents and employees. COVID-19 UPDATE Retirement at Century Pines employees have been working Non-stop to protect our communities and our residents from COVID-19. We recognize the challenging time this is for all. In light of the Springfield Health Department update regarding Greene County and the surrounding counties we have decided to discontinue visits effective immediately. Our approach has and will continue to be one of caution. We have had ZERO Cases since the Covid 19 Pandemic began. ... We understand the challenge in balancing safety with the need of our residents & family members to stay connected. We will continue to offer window visits. ***REOPENING GUIDANCE*** DHSS has released reopening guidance to long-term care facilities. The long-term care facility guidance will be a phased-in approach that will take into consideration many factors including the current status of COVID-19 in the community and current status of COVID-19 in the facility. The management team at Retirement at Century Pines met this morning and we will be posting our reopening guidelines soon! Thank you for being so patient and encouraging to the employees of Hopedale Cottage as we have kept our residents health and well being as our main priority!
