Sometimes you throw a need out there and unexpected things happen. Like 4 NEW TIRES! The ‘non ministry’ but super important for ministry things can be hard at times. Not today though! We can buy 4 new tires! Update- we are just over halfway to our goal. Help us keep the streak going. We’ve met our goal 13 weeks in a row!! $10 Tuesday is all about tires this week. ... Tires aren’t that exciting but they are necessary. Most of the roads we drive on aren’t paved and it seems like we are always fixing and eventually buying tires. At least weekly Luke or Lynick take 30 minutes and check tire pressure, look over the tires for problem areas and make sure everything is in working order. A tire costs $100- 10 people giving $10 meets this need! Help us buy a new tire for the Kia! (And we use the old tires for fun projects too- notice the basketball hoop) Link to donate in comments

I can’t remember who gave us this parachute years ago but it’s still the number one favorite activity for the younger kids. #hopecphaiti

Since moving Kids Program to the land we’ve slowly been making changes. Nothing big, just getting organized and figuring out how to execute the program well while we are building the community center. Every week it’s gets a little better and I was certain that this was the week we were going to sit back and say, ‘yes, that worked’ But, we didn’t have a rain plan. ... Thankfully it cleared up pretty quickly and no one seemed to care about a few raindrops. #hopecphaiti

This need has been covered by someone who used to live here in Haiti. Really really grateful and excited for a couple days away! It’s $10 Tuesday and I honestly thought it was Monday all day today We’ll see what can happen in a few short hours. ... Week 13- It’s a personal one and feels a little strange but we were recently challenged to let people know our needs so here goes: There’s a women’s retreat in April for missionary women that Julie is going to attend. It’s 2 nights at a lovely place on the ocean. It will be a couple days to rest, relax and fellowship with other women who live life here in Haiti. The total cost is $100- it includes lodging, food and meeting supplies. 10 people giving $10 covers everything. (13 people giving $10 covers the retreat and takeout chicken that Luke will probably be getting as he’ll be home with the kids ) Donateforhope.org

It rained. Really really rained. And this happened All’s well now. I’m super happy for the farmers- we needed the rain ... (And I’m super happy that we somehow have power, no appliances or fans were destroyed, no phones blew up and no one got electrocuted ) #thismissionarylife #hopecphaiti

Thank you! 6 weeks in a row!!! **We are so close! Just $20 and we’ve reached our goal 6 weeks in a row! ** Blood Pressure- mine was probably a little high last week as I anxiously paced and watched for updates about our city and the protests around the country. Thankfully things seem to be quiet today and reports coming on across the country say the same.... Hope Klinik has an affordable blood pressure program. Patients receive medication to treat their blood pressure but also invaluable education about nutrition and exercise. These patients come every week to have their BP monitored and receive their meds. Because we require patients to visit weekly we’ve kept the cost of this program low. Patients pay but much is supplemented by people like you! Thank you! This $10 Tuesday we are looking for 10 donors to give $10 to our BP Program. $10 covers one patient in the program for a MONTH! Donateforhope.org #hopecphaiti #tendollartuesdays

We tried to enjoy a quiet day yesterday. The streets were empty, the normal sounds of busy life here missing. We are so thankful for a quiet day yet can’t help but feel uneasy for what’s to come (maybe?) Schools aren’t open, cars and tap taps aren’t on the roads and it seems everyone is just waiting and no one knows for what. ... Thanks for your continued prayers.

Thanks so much for praying this week! There have been protests across the country, but Gonaives has stayed quiet(ish). Schools were closed this week and people have definitely stayed close to home. It’s been a week of waiting to see how bad it will be. There’s been trouble downtown and lots of gunfire and a hotel had cars in the parking lot set on fire. Tomorrow is the day that many are saying the president’s term should end. There are many rumors of what will happen and wh...at’s coming, but we feel safe and stocked up in our home. We’ve prepared as much as we can and know the One who is in control and rest in that. We’ve been able to work (it’s close to home) and the job site is open and every employee made it to work this week. For our staff, the biggest bummer was the downpour we got while MaryLourde was at the market- she came back soaked and freezing but she made sure our pantry and freezer were stocked. We even had kid’s program this week! It’s always so encouraging to watch kids run and play after a week of tension. Thanks so much for your prayers- we’ll keep you updated.

*** we are close to meeting our Tuesday goal for the 5th week in a row! Just need a couple more donations!*** We are on the ball this morning- probably because we are staying close to home as protesting is scheduled throughout the country. It’s still $10 Tuesday though! When we start hearing rumblings of protests for certain days we immediately start thinking about supplies. Extra food and water for our house but also supplies for ministry. We make lists and buy supplies and... often the biggest need is gas for the job site. Generators, pumps, welders and equipment keep guys employed and the building moving forward. Without gas we have to tell people not to come to work. $10 buys 4.5 gallons of gas and helps keep the job site open and people caring for their families! We need 10 people to buy $10 worth of gas to meet our goal this $10 Tuesday! Donateforhope.org (We have reached out goal every Tuesday in 2021! Amazing!!) #$10tuesday #hopecphaiti
