As the sunsets, the ice still glistens on the trees here @homeplacefields and 2020 comes to a close we find ourselves reflecting on the good that came our way during this year that brought pain to us all. We grew the tallest Ranunculus stem I’ve ever seen and successfully produced buckets of these special flowers, we added official employees for the first time ever and an intern too. I’m not sure we would have survived this year without them! We grew Belles of Ireland success...fully for the first time from plugs. Thank you @posyforgood for that great wisdom. We introduced our mugs this year and you all ordered them like crazy. Our subscriber list grew too and we are so thankful for our amazing clients. The giant swing we have been dreaming up for 10 years finally has a home right by the milk barn. It’s a special piece made from the door of my own childhood home. I finally had the chance to design flowers for my friend’s baby shower, a long awaited baby girl has brought us so much joy even if only via Marco Polo and text messages. We participated in our very first styled photo shoot with some truly amazing vendors. I believe we even had our first proposal here during some special family photo mini shoots! Our partnership with @nestinggoods continued to grow as we had a successful virtual build your own bouquet event in the summer and a fall build your own potpourri event in store. Can’t wait to continue to grow with you all! We also added a special farm animal this year... see our stories for her beautiful photo. Despite the circumstances we have successes to be grateful for, & this isn’t even the entire list! Thank you to all of you for following us on this amazing journey and sharing us with your friends. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here... the tree is finally decorated in all it’s perfectly imperfect glory. Momma’s I know how hard it is to let all the little hands stack those ornaments on one branch... to hold your breath and see the beauty through their eyes. I try to remember advice I’ve heard from many mommas before me...the days are long and the years are short. Also the tree is as much theirs as it is mine. I’ll always cherish their handmade ornaments and our seashells we hang in memory of each vacation more than and pretty home decor item I place on the tree. This tree tells our story every year as we unload the ornaments, a story with many twists and turns and ups and downs. This year we added some flower flair and wooden beaded garland from @nestinggoods to tie it all together. #christmas2020
