Tonight we will be looking at Paul's Letter to the Colossians. Did you know that the Church in Colossae was not started by Paul, and he had never been to Colossae? If you are interested in finding out more, come join us in half an hour at church!

As Holy Saturday continues on, we wait with the disciples for what comes next. Unlike them, we know what is coming. Tomorrow morning, the sun will rise on an empty tomb. Grief gives way to joy. Sorrow is stilled in the presence of the risen savior. We hope you will join us tomorrow morning at 10 for our Easter Morning Service when we celebrate Christ's victory over death!

This morning we will be dipping back into the Book of Revelation. We'll be seeing how a woman, a dragon, and a newborn son with an iron scepter all fit into God's story!

FROM THE PASTOR 2 Corinthians 4:4In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the Glory of Christ, who is the image of God. It can often be frustrating to have friends and family who do not know Jesus. Perhaps they were raised in the faith and just never really got it, or perhaps they never had much exposure to the gospel in the first place. Whatever the case may be, one of the thin...gs we need to be aware of when sharing our faith, is that many people we will encounter are going to be unable to see the power of the gospel because they have been spiritually blinded by the powers of darkness who rule this world. There are two wonderful things we can learn about sharing the gospel from this passage in 2 Corinthians. First, one of the things we need to be praying for is that people who are blind spiritually will have their eyes opened so that they can see the truth of the gospel. When someone has been blinded in this way, only God can open their eyes supernaturally. We must pray and leave it to God in order to open their eyes and see the truth we are sharing with them. The second thing we can learn is how important it is to share that Jesus is the image of God. What does this mean? This means that one of the most powerful ways of sharing the gospel is to talk about the kind of person Jesus is, both as presented in scripture and what he has done for us in our own personal lives. When we look at Jesus, we don’t just see a kind and loving person, we see the very image of God being presented to us. You see, it isn’t just that Jesus is God. But also, that God is Jesus. Everything about what kind of person Jesus is, that is also true of what kind of a person God is. And that is a very powerful thing to share with people who don’t know God. Pastor Josh DON’T FORGET: If you are still not attending church because of health concerns, Pastor Josh’s sermon is still on Facebook/YouTube each week. Also, please remember, for your convenience, you can mail your offering and prayer requests to the church. You can also bring them by during regular office hours. Tuesday-Friday, 8 AM-1PM. BRIGHT FUTURES During January, Bright Futures is asking for donations of facial tissues. Also, they are always in need of individually wrapped snacks, such as granola bars and crackers.

FROM THE PASTOR James 1:22But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. At the Day of Judgment, we shall not be asked what we have read but what we have done. Thomas A. Kempis. What is it that defines a good Christian walk? What does it mean to develop a strong spiritual life? Often we think of things like prayer, reading our Bible, going to church, and maybe a few other things. Bible Study is important, but we need to ask ourselves why? Is it ...Continue reading
