As most everyone was expecting, the stay at home order has been extended through May 15th. This in no way affects the ability to file bankruptcy cases in both Missouri and Kansas. We are still doing all attorney-client appointments via telephone or Zoom meetings. All signings can be done via email or fax scanned signatures and all court dates will be done via telephone for the foreseeable future (as of right now even court dates in early June are set for telephone conferences). The Department of Homeland Security announced Thursday that it is delaying the implementation of new Real ID requirements by a full year until Oct. 1, 2021.

KCMO has posted a great FAQ page on their website with any questions in regards to the COVID-19 quarantine that begins tomorrow. This only effects our office with the in person consultations and signings.
