After a discussion with the Hockey Foundry legal team it has been decided to hold off on the drawing a few days and do it at public event. This way remove any chances of perceptions of improprieties. Thank you for your patience and more details will follow.

Special Thanks to the owner of Premier Party Coach. They provided a great vehicle and experience as our shuttle vehicle for #SGFBluesDay and taking the Blues Alumni around to all the different events and venues. They went above and beyond what was expected and I would highly recommend them if you are in the need for a party coach. 417-370-1700

A special Hockey Foundry Salute goes to the City of Springfield, all of the volunteers who contributed to the success of #SGFBluesDay, and most of all the Springfield area Blues fans. You all made quite a positive impression on the Blues Alumni and Brass who came down for our event! The statement made the most was that they had no idea that there so much enthusiasm for the team and by so many in the Springfield area. Blues Alumni Rick Zombo's quote was probably the best. U...nbeknownst to us until he arrived Thursday, he had radically altered his travel plans to be here for #SGFBluesDay. He is the head coach of the Lindenwood College hockey team. He was supposed to be traveling to Des Moines, IA with the team Thursday for games. Instead, he drove down here and then drove to Des Moines that after the festivities were over that night. The long prelude to his quote is to give it context so as not to be misconstrued or taken as some sort of backhanded compliment. This is a text in response to us checking on him to make sure he arrived safely. "Thank you. I had no idea that my inconvenience would be so gratifying! I'd do it all over again. I was fulfilled beyond my wildest dreams." Rick Zombo Great job Springfield and Springfield Blues fans! See more

All of this and Reed Low will be your personal guide and lunch host. All of this is valued at over $1500 and you ca...n get it for $10, or at least a chance to win it. We will raffle off The Ultimate Blues Fan Experience at noon on Friday at the Jordan Valley Ice park. You will not need to be present to win. You can get 1 ticket for $10, 3 tickets for $20, or 10 tickets for $50, what a bargain. As a reminder, tomorrow's event is rain or shine. Should it rain some of the outdoor events will be curtailed but things will be still be happening inside. Yes, Stanley will still be there and the Blues Alumni. If you have read any of the histories of the cup you will know it has endured much worse than a little rain.

Rick Zombo will be joining Plager. He is not only a Blues Alumni but is also the head coach for Lindenwood College. Richard James Zombo (born May 8, 1963) is an American former professional ice hockey defenseman who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for 12 seasons between 1984 and 1996. He is the current men's ice hockey head coach at Lindenwood University. Zombo played with the Austin Mavericks the USHL as a 17-year-old during the 198081 season, earning 36 point...Continue reading
