Happy July 4th celebrations to each of you! Heart of America chorus (via Zoom) is sending you a bit of harmonious (thoughts) virtually for your upcoming weekend.

Yea, another fun HOA Zoom last night. "Most" folks are becoming Zoom pros by now, and we are utilizing the breakout rooms well, too. We missed the "other guy" this week, but suspect that having a 4-way open heart bypass is a good reason to miss the warm-ups.

HOA members still enjoying catching up with each other and doing muted singing. Tonight, Jim Bagby regaled us with some "background" RR4 stories and specifics about Apron Strings, too! Come and join us for a visit!

A pick up quartet from HOA sang today for the 50th anniversary of a purple heart recipient in Leawood KS.

People have been asking us about our virtual rehearsals here's a synopsis of last night's Zoom Video Communications rehearsal. We saw 85% attendance last night.... We also saw cats and dogs but no goats :( We always open our rehearsal 30 minutes in advance to give members some un-muted social time. At 7:00 we ask everyone to mute. We stay muted unless we are going to talk. We then unmute and say our name (there were 4 pages of gallery squares, this was necessary). Once done - mute. Speaking of gallery view - use it! Our rehearsal plan included: Business (at LGC this is known as "Business with Cammi") Good News (members share good news) Learn a Tag (for a good laugh unmute) Review a choreo change (tip - pin the visual team person) Watch Party (using screen share, watch a performance together and discuss) Small group discussions (use the breakout room feature*) Share small group thoughts in the large group (share & cry) This was a 2 hour uninterrupted rehearsal* *In order to achieve this, you will need the paid version of Zoom. #lifeonahighnote #hearusroar #zoomrehearsals #cantstopwontstop
