Jay James will be laid to rest Friday November 6 next to his loving wife Billie at Carmack Cemetery in Albany, Missouri. Visitation will be at 2:00 pm in the Roberson-Polley Chapel 403 N. Hundley, Albany, Missouri 64402. Graveside Service will be at 3:00 pm.

October 30, 2020 our wonderful Jay James passed away. We lovingly referred to him as the Mayor of Hickory Ridge as he loved the Resort so much. Our First Lady, Billie passed on October 28, 2018. We will miss them both and never forget them.

Labor Day Weekend is upon us, however, summer is not over yet. September and October are so enjoyable at the Lake. We still have a few functions to look forward to, Sept.5th from 7 til 11pm Night Train Sounds will entertain us with his DJ skills and Karaoke and we will have Comp. Hot Dogs and soft drinks or you can bring your own beverage. Sunday Sept. 6 is the Trump Parade from the Dam to Nemo at Noon. Sept. 19 will be our Italian Theme Cook-Up featuring Big John and the 3...9th Street Blues Band. Oct 17th is our Fish Fry along with The BoomChux performing from 4 til 8pm.. I want to thank everyone the excellent turn-out for our Four Legs and Fur Benefit on August 8th. Great weather, great food, great music by Kirk Brown Band and a wonderful outcome, we raised $3300. plus had many items to contribute to their Labor Day Weekend Garage Sale on 54 Hwy in Hermitage. Saturday August 8th

How great is it that July 4th falls on Saturday? We should have a good turn out for our Golf Cart Parade at 2pm. Then we will gather in the pavilion for Complimentary Hot dogs, Ice cream, soft drinks and tunes from our own , in house DJ, Kevin Rogers of Night Train Sounds at approximately 4pm. Anyone that wants to celebrate with us, just decorate your Golf Cart and meet in front of my office. I will be closing the Hickory Dickory Dock at noon so you are welcome to bring your own libations. Many of our guests will be shooting fireworks on the Point at dark. Bon Fire should follow. I Love our Country!

What a wonderful week end. Yes, there was rain occasionally, but all in all the Memorial Holiday was great. So happy to see all my Hickory Ridge Friends out having fun. I will be making the new event schedule soon and posting it now that times seem to be getting back to normal. However I will tell you that June 20 will be our Monthly get together in the form of a Fish Fry, featuring Kirk Brown Band and our own campground fish frying team. The time will be the usual 4pm til 8pm. Make plans to be here.
