We have 200 chickens being processed this Tuesday, July 14th. 150 of the 200 have already been pre-ordered so there are only 50 left! If you are interested in buying some of our chickens, or have questions about the way we raise them, contact us through the phone number provided on our page.
For those who are interested in the chicken tractors mentioned earlier, here are a coupe pictures of them. They are designed to be lightweight so that it's not too much of a struggle to move them. Half of the top is covered with metal that is screwed down to the tractor, the other half of the top is made up of 2 sections, one of the sections is metal, the other is hardware wire. Both of those are movable so that you can get into the tractor.
This is our second year of raising broiler chickens. The first 2 weeks they live in a brooder in our garage (hopefully the brooder will move out to the barn once it's complete), they are then put out into the pasture to live in transportable enclosures that we call "Chicken Tractors". The chicken tractors are moved on a daily basis so that the chickens always have a healthy supply of grass and bugs to eat and a clean environment to live in. We raise our chickens with corn/soy free food. Here are some pictures of the chickens being transported from the brooder to the chicken tractors.
This is the guardian of our herd, her name is Molly and she is a mix between an Anatolian Shepherd and Great Pyrenees! They make great protectors for animals but are still gentle and sweet to their owners! And she loves attention!!
