The Henry County Library is looking for and energetic and efficient individuals to fill the following position. Part-time Janitor Clinton & Windsor facilities 20 hours per week (transportation to Windsor will be provided)... Tuesday Friday 8:00 am to 1:00 pm $10.35 an hour Candidates must be able to pass a background check and have a valid driver’s license This position includes the following responsibilities: Cleaning all areas of the library in both the Clinton and Windsor buildings Emptying trash and recycling bins Hauling away recycling Cleaning of the company vehicle Sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing, disinfecting, etc. Must be able to lift 50 pounds Unpack boxes Move and climb a ladder Keep items in janitor’s closet and mop room neat and organized Know how to operate a 2-wheel dolly Assist the Friends of the Library Group with the semi-annual book sales Push a book cart Bend to reach low shelves and use step stool to reach high shelves Multitask Replace lightbulbs All other duties as assigned by the director or assistant director Interested individuals must complete an employment application. Henry County Library's Live Story Time Begins in One Hour!
Henry County Library will be closed today, January 1, 2021 to celebrate the New Year. We hope that this is a great year for all of our patrons and friends. We will be open tomorrow, Saturday, January 2. In Clinton the hours are 8am-5pm and in Windsor the hours are 8am to noon.

We've moved a few things around in Clinton at the Henry County Library. The Children's DVD's are now in the children's area near Miss Sheila's desk There is a huge pink sign that you can see from the circulation desk if you need more directions. Come check out some DVD's to watch on those cold January and February days.

PLEASE NOTE: We will still be open. The intersection in front of the library (2nd and Green) will be closed tomorrow 11/5 for most of the day. From the City of Clinton... (November 4)... Intersection of Second Street and Green Street to be closed Nov. 5 The intersection of Second Street and Green Street will close on Thursday morning, November 5, to allow the Clinton Street Dept. to turn off and cover the traffic signals, in preparation for a change in traffic flow through the intersection. Second Street, northbound and southbound, will become a thru-street, with no stopping at Green Street. Green Street, eastbound and westbound, will have stop signs installed. Traffic on Green Street will be required to stop at Second Street, then proceed when the traffic on Second Street has cleared. This change was approved by the Clinton City Council, upon the recommendation of the Fire Dept., Police Dept. and Street Dept., to improve safety and response time for all emergency vehicles traveling north and south through the Second Street and Green Street intersection. The intersection will re-open later in the day, on Nov. 5.

The library will be closed on November 12th and 13th (Thursday and Friday) for work days. We will be working in the Children's Area.
