Knights of Columbus 10.12.2020

The council recently was named a Star Council for the 2019-2020 fraternal year. We met the requirements in Knights of Columbus faith, family, community and life programs to earn the award. Standards included making membership and insurance quotas along with hosting events and programs that benefited the community, St. Peter and Immaculate Conception parishes, Special Olympics Missouri, Habitat for Humanity and area youth. We've earned Star Council in three of the last six years.

Brother Knights, I continue to hope you all and your families remain safe and healthy. Maintaining social distance, Rory Stegeman and Kevin Stegeman held the drawing for the council’s gun raffle Saturday at the Menard’s parking lot. Rory did not enter the raffle so he drew the three winning names. A video of the drawing is attached.... 1 - winner of the 25-06: Bernard Groner 2- winner of the Ruger 9mm: Mel Bruemmer 3- winner of the Silver Eagle coin: Mark Kleene Congratulations to the winners. Thanks to Kevin and Rory for obtaining the guns and running the raffle. Thanks also to Tony Dohmen, who donated the Silver Eagle coin. And thanks to the members who sold tickets. We sold a grand total of $1,631 worth of tickets. Minus the cost of the firearms, we raised $831. We decided before the raffle started that profits would be divided between the Knights and the Home Association. So, $415 went to the Home Association and $416 goes to the Knights. Stay safe. Stay healthy. flan Mike Flanagan Grand Knight Fr. Helias Knights of Columbus Council 1054 573-619-6353 [email protected]
