Love is love is love is love.....is love.
Some of our favorite wedding portraits of the year! Thanks to Maria and Hunter for making time between ceremony and reception for these lovely shots.
Hi guys, it's Brooke. I thought it might be fun to share a story behind the image today. If you enjoy posts like these, maybe I'll do a few more. One of my all-time favorite photos is from 1996. I'll share it in the first comment. It was taken by Denis Reggie and it captures JFK, Jr. and Carolyn Bessette in a candid moment as they exit the chapel after just getting married. I would argue that this photo changed the wedding photography industry and inspired those who do t...his work to be moved to create something more than posed, "canned" photos. Technically, the photo is crooked. I wonder if he, like most of us do, when culling through our work, waffled over whether it was even a keeper. It went on to become Life's Photo of the Year. It's the emotion that makes the photo. Reggie captured their happiness in that moment, and you can feel it. Britney and I are all about capturing the emotion of a wedding day, and there was plenty at Erin and Paul's elopement at St. Catherine's at Bell Gable. Here are 3 of my favorites, two of which we took at the exact same time....and show why we think having 2 shooters is a great investment.
Hope and David wanted their engagement session to ooze Kansas City vibes. We wanted to shoot in the obvious KC locations, but we also did some location scouting prior to the session to see what other gems we could find. We wanted to use some spots that might not be as easy to recognize, but rather, serve as a backdrop to the main subjects - a couple in love, enjoying the sights and sounds of the city. We are so thrilled with the results, and we hope you enjoy.
Grant and Reese were so much fun to work with. Here are a few of our favorites from the Plaza.
Josh & Christina tied the knot at the gorgeous Dogwood Canyon in front of their fur children (and also some two legged friends and family)

We had the opportunity to photograph the sweetest couple today. Congratulations, guys!! Wishing you all the love and happiness a lifetime can afford.
*This is my senior, and this photo was shot in our yard* Our hearts go out to all of the 2020 seniors who are experiencing a very different year than they expected, mine included. You've worked hard and you were just about to head into the fun part - senior nights, parties, skip days, parades, banquets, and so much more. And while some folks will say it's not a big deal in the big picture, or there are more important things to be concerned with than your festivities, I ...say you have a right to feel let down, disappointed and sad. We are all dealing with loss right now in some way. Let's be full of kindness and compassion. Hold tight, and know that we're so proud of you and, when the time is right, you'll have the celebrations you've earned. #RepMO #2020Seniors

Chaney + Jalen: two adventurous hearts on fire
Not every first dance with Dad looks the same. Life is full of ups and downs, new beginnings and hard goodbyes, and sometimes your best day is also one of the hardest. We are so grateful to be a small part of some very important moments and to be entrusted with an opportunity to help preserve a part of those moments for our amazing clients.
