Lip filler results over time Most dermal fillers are FDA approved to last up to 12months. Unfortunately filler placed in the lips lasts the least amount of time compared to other areas of the face. This can be for the simple reason of how much we move our lips every day, talking and eating. The body metabolizes the filler quicker. Stacking treatments every 4-6months can help the results last longer. This patient had 1mL of lip filler injected 10months ago. She came back for a touch up 5months later, adding another 1mL. The after photo is 6months after her last treatment. When stacked over time, the filler can have longer staying power.
