I'm proud to announce a new partnership with local glass artist Vaughn Evans at Cremation Marbles (<- Click here and follow them!) to offer more memorial options for your loved ones. Vaughn produces beautiful, hand-made beads, pendants, paperweights, and other custom glass works infused with cremation ash. Vaughn is local to the Kansas City area, based in Linwood, Kansas. If you choose to memorialize your pet with a beautiful personal keepsake, I will handle all the details so you can pick up your glass art here at Heartland Pet Aquamation when you return to collect your urn at no extra cost. Do you have a loved one's ashes, but have never heard of cremation glass? It's not too late! Send a message to our page and I can answer any questions you might have about memorializing your loved one in glass.

Today is National Puppy Day! All the animals in our lives deserve some special time to shine, and today is the day for appreciating the dogs that share their lives with us. The internet may have been invented to share pictures of cats, but thanks to recent developments, it now fully supports dog pictures too! Introduce your puppy with a picture in the comments, and invite others to add theirs! If you have an older dog, they're still a puppy at heart, and are just as welcome to share their best selfies.

Next Thursday, February 4, 2021, I will be a guest speaker for an online Death Cafe hosted by Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church. If you've never heard of a Death Cafe, it's a group meeting open to the public to talk about topics pertaining to death and dying, where you can ask the questions you weren't sure where to ask, and share conversation with others navigating their perspectives. I'll be talking about aquamation (surprise!) as my central topic, giving a brief overview of h...ow I got into practicing, why I think it will be a vital part of aftercare, and answering questions from anyone who wants to know more. The cafe is an open forum, so expect some fruitful digressions as well. The meeting will be held via Zoom to make participation and social distancing easier to accommodate. If you'd like to be a part of the conversation, follow this page and send a message so I can share the Zoom link and password.
