Happy New Year to everyone!! What a crazy year 2020 was, right?!? I, for one, am really glad to see it in the rear view mirror. I have tremendous hope in the year ahead. The presence of a vaccine and its widening circles of availability will help us all move past this pandemic. Of course, things will not improve overnight. We must all continue to be vigilant with wearing masks and socially distancing from those that we do not live with. Until we have a very large number of i...ndividuals vaccinated...we must continue the best mitigation strategies we know of. While it is frustrating to have this chaos linger on, I think there is much to be excited about in the days/weeks/months ahead. Please know that whatever the future holds we promise to be there for your children and for you whenever you need us. We are working hard to catch up on well checks that may have slipped by during this pandemic. As always, we are keeping a large portion of our schedules open each day to accommodate sick appointments as they are needed. As mentioned in a previous post, the mental health of our patients is equally as important as their physical health. So, if you have questions along these lines, please let us know. The health and safety of your children is our highest priority. We will continue with a strict infection control policy and will be ready to modify it at any time, should the need arise. We hope that all of you have had a safe and happy start to 2021. May it be a year filled with good health and happiness for all of you. We are just a phone call away. Blessings, Dr. Melanie See more

I hope that all of you find yourselves healthy and warm amongst those you love this morning. We want to send special Christmas wishes to each of you. This year continues to be a strange one and we know that your celebrations may look nothing like you had hoped they would. There is light at the end of this tunnel, though, so be patient just a little longer. In the meantime just know that you are a special part of our family. We appreciate your trust in us and we are honored to do what we do. Whatever holiday you are celebrating, may it be filled with peace, love and a renewed hope in tomorrow. We are closed today, so that our staff may be with their families. Stay warm, stay safe and may your day be blessed. -Dr. Melanie

A few reminders in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic: 1. Exposure is less than 6 feet away from a known Covid-19 positive patient, for 15 min or more without a mask. 2. If you have an exposure to someone that is Covid-19 positive, you must quarantine for 14 days from the last time you had contact with them. The only change to this would be if you, yourself, test positive. You would need to quarantine for 10 days from the day you tested positive or that you began to show sy...mptoms. 3. Face shields are not adequate protection when used alone. 4. Antibody testing can be done but it is not specific to Covid-19 and it does not mean that you are immune therefore, we are not recommending it. 5. Individuals with Covid-19 symptoms can be contagious 48-72 hours before their symptoms started. This is why we are so supportive of wearing masks at all times when you are around those that you do not live with. Be safe. Be kind. Be vigilant. -Dr. Melanie

Hello everyone. I know, I know. We are all tired of Covid. We all want to be done. Trust me, no one knows that like those of us in health care. We are at a point in time, though, that this community must come together to alter the direction that we are headed. Please do not hold parties this weekend. Do not gather with all of your family from across the country. If you must be around others that you do not live with, keep your numbers gathered low, wear a mask and stay 6 feet... away from each other. Skip the huddled up photos. Skip the hugs for now. We have families that are all getting sick. Some of those families have older members that are fighting for their lives. I don’t care what your political affiliation is and neither does this virus. Please help us make our community as safe as we can for all that live here. We can get back to some activities, but only if we all play by the same rules. I am begging all of you. Please. Be patient just a little longer. Fighting a pandemic requires 100% participation. Thank you, in advance, for your cooperation. It hurts to watch our patients and their families suffer. Stay safe. -Dr. Melanie See more
