I’m starting a Train Your Brain technique with the kids. Each week we will pick a different affirmation for the mirrors and windows. The kids love the idea of writing on windows and mirrors. And it serves a big purpose. ... Every time we see the affirmation we have to say it out loud. We plan on changing it weekly. When we tell our brains we are good our brain believes us and helps us align with the message. (This also works for the negative things we tell ourselves) which is why Mindfulness is important. Last night I had 2 clients remind me of one of the most simple aspects that often gets overlooked. The healing power of light touch! ... People often ask me what they can expect to feel after a Reiki session. This rose of Jericho provides a beautiful representation. It never dies. Without water it dries up and moves around and when it finds water it blossoms again with freshness and beauty. Sometimes we may feel closed up, rigid and our emotional, mental and/or physical tanks feel empty. When we add Reiki (or other forms of self-care) it’s like the water for our soul. We can start to feel connected to ou...r life force, feel nourished, revitalized and safe to shine in our beauty. Nature always shows us such beautiful ways to heal. Sometimes we experience times where we feel like the tumbleweed being thrown around from one situation to the next, yet when we ground and connect to that unlimited source within we are reminded of love that surpasses all understanding.
