Ettien, a senior at Hazelwood East High School, recently placed fourth in the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) Wrestling Championship.... Students and alumni from Hazelwood East High School and Hazelwood East Middle School recently delivered a moving performance of a piece of music inspired by the... late George Floyd. Mama A Performance in Remembrance of George Floyd was composed by Choral Director Robert Swingler. Floyd was killed by a police officer in May of 2020. Mr. Swingler, a long-time music educator with Hazelwood School District, gathered a diverse and talented group of people to contribute to creating the ground-breaking virtual performance. The performance was recorded and shown during the December 1, 2020 Board of Education meeting. Click the video below to experience the emotional piece of music:
