Thanks so much to our officers for helping Finding Grace Ministries and the Homeless Youth Initiative raise $495 on July 27 toward purchasing a washer and dryer for their youth drop-in center in Arnold. Thanks to the Genuine Maytag Appliance store in Arnold for letting us use their parking lot and water! Eight helpful teens volunteered at the Dancing Through the Decades event last night sponsored by Finding Grace Ministries. We raised about $1800 to help open a Jefferson County Youth Drop-In Center in order to fight homelessness and trafficking. Thanks to Brendan, McKenna, Michaeyla, Tiffany, Emily, Kylie, Brett, and Julia for their time, energy, and enthusiasm toward yet another service project!

We are so proud of all the students who volunteered to help out with March 11th's 3rd-grade workshop. Without a doubt, this may well have been one of the greatest set of kids that Interact Club has been able to work with and a true learning experience for all involved.

Our lessons aren’t always perfect, but all you have to do is look at these kindergarten faces to know that they will remember the high-school students who took the time to listen and care. What a great time we had with 32 little kids and 20 volunteers Monday evening at the Primary Building!

In honor of the accomplishments made by Hillsboro Interact Club during the first half of the 2018-2019 school year, our next general meeting will be a celebratory one filled with snacks and good times.

Saturday was the big day! Interact Club partnered with Shiloh Stables to host a BBQ in the Barn event with a delicious dinner from Hog Call Barbeque, cheesecake dessert from Candilee Jackson, games, prizes, and baskets. Proceeds benefit the Horses for Hope Campaign to provide equine therapy to victims of sex trafficking. Thank you to everyone who helpedfrom decorating horseshoes to cutting out tags to getting donationsInteractors were awesome!

Interact Club hosted its first-grade workshop Oct. 15. We had fewer volunteers who could be there, but we hosted 26 enthusiastic kids who learned about kindness, confidence, and self-control from their teen teachers as well as their big sister or brother. Way to go, everyone!

Today Interact Club hosted its first character workshop of the year. We taught lessons about confidence, kindness, and self-control to 24 boys and girls in second grade. Thanks to the Primary Building and all of the awesome student mentors, lesson leaders, and volunteers!

We helped Hillsboro Rotary at their pancake breakfast Saturday morning for the Jefferson County Bicentennial Celebration. Thanks to our nine volunteersmembers and non-members: Georgia, River, Trinity, Mady, Michaeyla, Tiffany, Rachel, Mac, and David! You were awesome!
