I know our teachers in Missouri have gone above and beyond what anyone can imagine to make sure kids are getting their education. Not only teaching in the classroom but also teaching online. Just a reminder that we are open. We have had several guest even in December and January just wanting to get away and relax. Mark and I have done some great hikes even when it is cool out. I Love hiking when it is cooler, plus the leaves are off the trees which gives you a totally different view. We explore and see things that we have not before. Come and see us and we will advise you On some great hiking. Some of the trails are a little drive, but it is worth it. Make reservations now for Valentines.

We are open for guest. We only rent out the walkout portion and we have limited interaction with our guest. Autumn is one of my favorite times at the lake, the weather is perfect for hikes within 50 minutes from our location. The lake is perfect for quiet kayaking and fishing experience. The evening beckons to sit around a campfire and make s’mores. Yes we still serve breakfast, but you either have to take it to your suite or eat out on the deck. Masks are required when interacting with us unless we are sitting outside.

Hi from to all of our former guest and to the ones to come. We are praying and hoping that once the threat of infection from the Corona has passed we will be able to host you with a new appreciation of new and old friendships. Some of our guest have checked in on us and we are so appreciative of that. Mare Lenaghen Purtz, this plaque is always on my table reminding us of you and Steve. There are other items in our home that our guest have gifted us with, and not to forget your kind remarks in our guest books that date back to when we first opened up. Please pray that this will all come to a quick end and all of you are well and safe.

I see that several of you have been checking our site. Because of the social distancing need and the stay at home order we will remain closed until it is safe to socialize again. We truly miss our guest and being able to spoil them. In the mean time we are working on the landscape and doing some maintenance on the house. We want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and thank all of our many guest for another wonderful year. We enjoyed guest from early February to our last guest of the season leaving today. It’s all because of the wonderful guest that we host. God has truly blessed us through the past 3 years with our house and our heart being filled with strangers that became friends. Haus Seeblick saw and served around 150 guest throughout 2019. We will be closed through February 1, but friends are always welcome to visit. Please consider our piece of heaven for your 2020 vacation or as many do for a retreat from the hustle of everyday life.
