COVID UPDATE: At the Church Board’s (all Deacons and Elders) March meeting, we began to discuss life at Harvest post-pandemic. Like all of you, we long to resume all of Harvest’s ministries, including Equipping Hour and other events, and to lift Covid-related restrictions that we have followed over the past year. Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have used the recommendations of the Taney County Health Department (TCHD) as the primary source of our decision making regar...ding safe gathering. As we think back over this past year, we are filled with gratitude for each of you, our congregation. Thank you for your willingness to practice hospitality and care for each other by wearing masks and distancing at church over these past months. No cases have resulted from Harvest gatherings. For this, we are deeply grateful. As the pandemic draws to a close over the next months, we will continue to seek TCHD’s guidance as we make plans to fully resume activities and events at Harvest. As of this week, the case positivity and hospitalization rates are decreasing, and the vaccination rate is increasingall positive signs for the eventual end of this pandemic! If these rates continue in positive directions, we are optimistic that we will be able to lift masking and physical-distancing recommendations, as well as resume all activities, sometime this summer. We want you to know that we are continuing to monitor the situation and will be ready to resume normal activity as soon as it is recommended to do so. AND WON’T THAT BE A DAY OF CELEBRATION??!! The Church Board has already begun discussing topics for Equipping Hour, and at our next couple of meetings, we plan to discuss Children’s Ministry during Equipping Hour as well as plans for a Community Group Ministry reboot, hopefully in the fall. If you have suggestions for topics for Equipping Hour or thoughts about Children’s or Community Group Ministry, please talk to Seth or Kayla or any Elder or Deacon so we can include your input in our discussions and decision-making. Over these next few months, please keep the leadership team in your prayers as we make decisions about post-pandemic life at Harvest. We are so grateful to be in community with you.
