Hair of the Dog Canine Halfway House

HE HAS RESCUE!! Thank you Helpless Hounds Dog Rescue!!! I believe there is goodness in the world. But, really peeps, I am being tested. Every day I am being app...roached about dogs needing new homes not because they are bad dogs but because the owners can't get their act together. Do I say I won't help because they make me irate? Or do I help so the dog is placed safely? I"m being tested by a higher power and I wish he would quit it. Anyway, I have another poor dog that needs help in Eldorado Springs, MO. "Goofy" is a 6-7 yr. old Red Tick Coonhound, neutered, utd on shots, housebroken and pretty laid back. The owners got themselves a new puppy, a Chihuahua no less, a month ago and Goofy has been acting possessive of the wife. Seems for a while it was Goofy and the wife because the husband traveled for work. Now he is home and along comes the puppy. The wife is worried he will hurt the puppy which they won't give up. She said he is dog aggressive because he barked at the neighbor dogs on the other side of the fence but at the vet clinic where he is now staying, he has shown no aggression. I saw him on Friday and he was happy, greeting me quietly at the gate, all wags waiting for breakfast and attention. He does have a chronic ear infection that is now being treated and said to have allergies but this vet has not seen any. So, again, let's find sweet Goofy a new home. One that will appreciate a slightly chubby, sweet older guy who only wanted to love his mom. If you can help, please message me. See more
