Since we raise chickens, ducks and turkeys, we occasionally have a problem with predators getting into the coops. I've set traps, stood guard, and still lost ducklings to raccoons. We decided that we need a little help with keeping the birds safe at night. This is our new predator control specialist. She's in training right now, but seems very enthusiastic about learning her job. The fact that she is cute and loveable is a bonus.
Left to my own devices for a weekend, I decided to build a small shed for the incubator and brooder. Figured I could bang it together in a weekend. All it needs to do is house a few chicks and ducklings so what's the big deal? 6 weekends, many other projects, and a lot of help later, the "shed" is complete enough that I can pass the baton to my wife who is going to put a tile floor in it. If this thing had plumbing, I'd move in tomorrow.
