Calling one and all to the Capital Chalk Art Fair. Anyone can compete for the prizes and it's free! You don't have to be an artist to join in. This is a yearly event to show appreciation of our community. Make your own art or come and see all the fantastic art being made!

If you're looking for something to do today... Walk, ride, or bike on over to this free art reception today, August 26th from 1-4pm Capital Arts. The exhibit lasts until September 25th. Don't forget to vote on your favorite for the People's Choice Award. We have a fantastic featured artist, Jonathan Asher, who has a wide array of photography on display. Jonathan will be doing an artist talk around 2:00pm. Meanwhile, enjoy the food and visit with lots of artists and people from our community. Make sure you look me up too!

Come see some very expressive artworks and meet the artists that created them. Of course I'll be there too and this is a great time to find out more about art techniques and products used to make our creations. Featured artists are Curtis Hendricks, a photographer, and Lauren Phillips, a traditional and digital painter. As always snacks and drinks are at this free event and this is a kid friendly!

Happy Star Wars Day! Some of you may know about my extensive arts and crafts endeavors. I always try to do art that is uplifting in some way, because several of my projects end up being gifts.
