A Turning Point is now operating a new program, The Guesthouse, at a second location. The Guesthouse provides a place for folks in crisis to access showers, laundry facilities, a hot meal, computers, and case management services. We are looking for volunteers to assist with this program on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11 am - 2 pm. If you're interested in finding out more about this opportunity, email Cathy at [email protected].

For Lent this year, we are providing a three-week creative short study via Zoom titled Creating Awe. We’ll talk about how awe is a crucial part of our faith journey and of our lives, and we’ll participate in activities facilitated by licensed art therapist Linda Kramer. The study will run on Sundays from 2 - 3:30 pm beginning March 7. If you would like to participate in the study, sign up here: https://goodshepherdkc.typeform.com/to/ckwD9TjV

Have you ever felt like you lost that spark? An awe for life? It can be easy to lose the feeling of awe, but if you've ever been to a breathtaking sight, you know how transformative it can be. Awe reconnects us with goodness, inspires us, and produces gratitude within us. How do we regain that sense of awe? What if we lived with a constant awe?

Searching for and finding love can be both exhilarating and exhausting. At some point, we all experience some type of loss in relationships, so where do we turn? In our search for love and meaning amidst the losses in our life, there is one love that will never fail us, that is always with us and in fact, nothing can separate us from it. That is the love of God. Ruth is a great example of a person who faithfully loves God, even in the midst of great loss.
