We are full steam ahead lambing our show ewes. These two lambs are laying in a trough about everytime I show up to do chores.
This time of year is always exciting. What is not to love?? Besides the weather.
We have had a late start lambing our show ewes with a few hiccups to boot. This ram lamb is 12 hours old and is an attention getter already.
With freezing tempertaures finally moving into mid Missouri we were a bit forced to bring our flock in closer to freeze proof waterers for the next few days. They are fat and putting on heavier coats as we move into winter.
We have three really impressive commercial ram lambs available, born late march. Born and raised on pasture with minimal grain. Great feet, legs, temperament and parasite resistance. These will be low maintenance low input animals that will require nothing but grass. Located in central MO.
We still have this ram available. Yearling triplet RR sired by RIV 756. He has maintained himself well on strictly fescue pasture, 2nd photo is him as a lamb at 4 months. We also have a few other ram lambs available.
Jeri and I would like to express our deepest thanks to everyone who bid on or purchased our ewes today. We really appreciate it!
Our online sale on integrity livestock sales is underway. Check out what we have to offer! Register and bid if you see something you like. Thanks for the support!
These sell online June 7th with integrity livestock sales under NMB Katahdins. There will be 10+ other ewes and a few rams. Contact me with any questions you may have. All lots will be on their website this week for viewing.
This is by far my favorite ewe lamb from this season
Here is a small taste of the females we will have to offer in our online sale June 7th (integrity livestock sales). Good feet and legs are very important to us; I dont care how flashy an animal looks, poor feet and leg structure is an immediate turn off. This is a mid january born ewe who will be RR. We have more like her. We will keep photos coming as we get closer to sale day.
Lambing is in full swing around here.
We had our first set of 2020 lambs today.
We wrapped up another great year of showing in Louisville at the NAILE! We showed three ewe lambs and a ram lamb and placed about middle of the pack with all four. We are looking forward to seeing this rams offspring come January!
We will be at Farm Fest this weekend in Springfield with some Katahdins. Stop by and let's talk sheep.
We had the pleasure to meet Clara Waits and her father Dwayne Waits at the Midwest Stud Ram Sale in June. Clara had her eyes set on one of our January ram lambs and we were fortunate enough for her to take him home. We recieved this photo from her father today. It looks like she won grand champion at her county fair in Arkansas. Jeri and I are so excited and proud that Clara decided to show him and represent this breed. Congratulations and terrific job Clara!!
8 head of registered katahdin ewe lambs born Jan-Feb out of high quality sires (pictured). These have been on feed and pasture. A few nice ram lambs available as well. Contact me for prices. Located in New Bloomfield MO
