We are getting some Spring blooming shrubs with early color. Chardonnay Pearls and Cherry Blossom Deutzia, Lilacs and Sunseeker Jessamine (one of my new favorite)!

Tomorrow is the first day of Spring!!! And I love Spring break. Someone has become very good at transplanting seedlings! She does have the bad habit like her grandma of taking off her gloves.

We will not be open late this Thursday but still have a lot to be thankful for!!! We are very thankful for generous kind people in our community. Thanks to one of them we now have local cracked pecans. Share something you are thankful for each day until Christmas and we will draw a winner for a bag of pecans.

Today we are thankful we will be carrying locally made wine glasses and soon ornaments. 10 years ago today I officially purchased Pats Lawn and Garden and began this adventure. It has been a lot of work, a lot of sacrifices, a lot of mistakes and a lot of learning but it has also been extremely rewarding on so many levels. I could not have done this without the help and support of my family and friends, customers (many of whom I now call friends), some amazing employees over the years and my faith that God brought me to this place. A lot has changed since this ...picture was taken of myself and Gene. But yet I am reminded of how much is the same, we still have a cat, I still learn something new everyday, still make a mistake or two everyday, meet someone new, still amazed at seeds coming up the seed trays or something new blooming and still blessed beyond measure with my life. I am not sure where the next 10 years will lead me but a big thank you to those who have helped through the last 10! See more
