Burrr!! It's cold outside. Can't wait for spring so I can go visit this beautiful bridge. The organization is working hard to get the Feasibility Plan revised and back to MoDOT for their review. Then they will send it to FHWA. Stay tune for some exciting news. I wanted to share with you that Green's Mill Historical Bridge made a leap forward towards getting great exposure bout there about our bridge. Mr. Brian Brenner, P.E., From Westward Mass., reached out to me. He wanted to blog about our bridge in ENR Engineering News-Report. Check out the web for more information on Mr. Brenner and the article. A great read. https://www.enr.com//post/51106-little-niangua-river-bridge Stay warm

Happy New Year!!! 2021 has promises to be a very exciting year for the Greens Mill Historical Bridge. The BOD and Officers have been working hard during the last couple of months coming up with ways to beautify the bridge while maintaining its historical value. We are currently 'cleaning up' our business plan for the bridge by answering questions that MODOT has. We're making plans for our annual events plus adding a few more events to our calendar. So, please stay in touch f...or updates. If you would like to help with the final stages of beautifying this grand old lady, you can do so by becoming a member or by making a donation through check or PayPal. You can now make your donation specifically for general operations, paint, the courtyard, driveway or the bridge itself. Once we have taken over ownership, we will be starting work right away. See you on the Bridge! See more

During the last couple of months, the board members have been working to answer and expand some last minute questions/comments MoDOT has concerning our plans for the bridge before submitting our business plan to FHDA. Good morning! What a blessed day we have been given. God is good. Things have slowed down on Saving the Bridge. We have only one more event this year. We are planning to set up a booth at The Apple Butter Festival that will be held at the Camden County Museum October 18,19. We will be handing out information and will be available to answer any quesions you may have about the bridge. We have submitted a revised budget to the state and are hoping to have some exciting news by then. I hope you will make plans to attend the annual Apple Butter Festival in Linn Creek, Mo. Next month. See you there.

Happy September 1. Fall is fast approaching. Soon trees will be changing colors. One of the most beautiful times of the year for the Ozarks. Along with the fall folage, the endangered Northern Long-Eared bats will be moving out of the area. These migratory bats have been living in the trees since April. During this time, they have their young. In October, the young bats will be big enough to move on with the mature bats. They will be gone my the end of October. When you visit the bridge, don't forget your camera. Great time to capture some fantastic pictures.

Due to Covid-19 we have decided to cancel the Save the Bridge Trivia Night 2020 scheduled for August 21. However, we will be back next summer. Hopefully, we will be settled in to a "new" normal by then. Last year, 2019, we had a great start with raising funds for Green's Mill Historical Bridge. So, if you were planning to attend and would like to donate your entry fee $15, or would like help us out with lost funds, you can mail your check to Green's Mill Historical Bridge Box 485 Linn Creek, Missouri 65052 or use our Pay Pal account. Stay safe! Thank you and see you in 2021.

Save The Bridge 2nd Annual Golf Tournament was held at The Club at Deer Chase in Linn Creek Missouri again this year. I'm so excited to share that we more than tripled the numbers from last years tournament. There were 11 teams, four new sponsors and we made $1500 more than we did last year. I want to thank all the golfers who came out to help fund the Green's Mill Historical Bridge, the 15 local business, personal donations and American Family Insurance ,agent Christi Fera,... who sponsored the Hole in One event for a chance to win an all expense trip to the PGA Masters in Augusta Georgia. Better luck next year golfers. I also want to thank all the volunteers who took time out of their personal lives to help out with this fun event. Last but not least, thank you Spencer Wilson and Deer Chase employees who went over and above to make sure everyone had a great time. Next year's tournament is already being planned. We are hoping to hold it on June 17th, 2021. There'll be more information next year. See more
