#GiveSTLday is tomorrow, Thursday May 6th! Our Earth is under attack. For over 20 years, Great Rivers has worked to protect it: stopping the pollution of our air and water, halting the destruction of our wild lands, and slowing the release of dangerous greenhouse gases into our atmosphere. And we're only able to do it because of you. ... This GiveSTLday, please consider making a gift of any size to help the work continue. You can also give tomorrow during the hours of 5:00 6:00 AM, 1:00 2:00 PM, or 9:00 10:00 PM to help your gift pick up matching funds. Thank you in advance to all who will join us in this fight! https://www.givestlday.org/greatriversenvironmentallawcente

We're thrilled to share the EPA has issued preliminary findings siding with our complaint to bring environmental justice to low-income and minority neighborhoods. The decision will help ensure citizens have adequate access to the agency responsible for monitoring and permitting air pollution in their neighborhoods. The decision to file the complaint came after years of trying to work directly with MDNR to bring them into compliance with Title VI non-discrimination laws.

EXCITING NEWS! The EPA has found merit in our civil rights complaint that the Missouri Department of Natural Resources is failing to comply with federal nondiscrimination laws meant to ensure meaningful access for all people to the department's services, programs and activities. It's an encouraging development in our work to protect and help Missouri communities to push back against pollution in their neighborhoods.
